OHTP is sponsoring this show as a fund-raiser and to present another professional artist for the enjoyoment of our patrons.

We will host the one-woman play O’Keeffe! by Lucinda McDermott, produced by Flower and Bone Productions, starring Carolyn Wickwire and directed by Ouida White. The performances will be Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26.

 
 
Taking lead roles in the musical are:  Andrea Johnson as Judy; Elena Bach as Betty; Patrick Fortune as Bob and Daniel Foster as Phil. Supporting roles are played by Karl Frederickson as Gen. Waverly; Chrsiti Barnes as Martha Watson; Linzy Callaway as Susan Waverly (with Madison as understudy); Blake Langley as Ralph Sheldrake; Rachel Clifton as Rita, Naomi Prioleau as Rhoda; Doug Elder as Ezekial; Nick Counts as Mike; Scarlette Day-Aleman as Tessie; and Travis Smith as Train Conductor. Other roles will be filled from an ensemble still to be cast. All ages are needed for the ensemble and anyone wishing to be in the show should call the director asap. The two hour musical will be the most involved production ever undertaken by the Players now in their 24th season and will undoubtedly surpass anything ever done before.
The iconic musical was a film in 1954 and was deftly transferred to a stage musical in recent years. The Players willl be the first theatre group in the area to present the show -a real accomplishment for the community theatre that still has no permanent home. The musical will be presented in the city-owned Tourist/Transportation Bldg in downtown Jefferson.

Still organizing StageFriends, a support group for the Players.  Email for more information on joining in the fun and taking responsiblity for small volunteer jobs like ticket-taking, clean-up, costuming, make-up, speaking to clubs and organizations, and many other little places that need to be attended to during a season. If you are willing to volunteer a few times a year, please let us know!
