The sweetest production to hit Jefferson since last year is on tap for Sunday,
February 12 at 2 pm when "Chocolate Sunday" returns to the Russell Building
as a fund-raiser for the Opera House Theatre Players.
New to the production this year, which offers many types of chocolate dishes
for judging as well as eating, is the entertainment which will be offered by
two teen brothers, Isaak, 13 yrs, and Aston, 14 yrs of Mineola. Isaak, who plays piano, is an acoomplished musician who plays classical as well as
popular tunes and sings. Aston plays the guitar and sings. But they don't
perform togther, just in tandem. They are the sons of Todd and Shelley
Chance who will also serve as judges for the event. According to theatre
director Marcia Thomas, "we are so elated to have these talented young
men to entertain at our chocoholic event! It just adds to the enjoyment of
all plus we are thrilled to be able to continue support of youths interested
in the performing arts. It's a perfect fit!"
Persons who wish to enter the chocolate contest may still do so by con-
tacting the theatre at 903-665-2310 or JeffersonTheatre@aol.com. There is
no charge to enter and the judging will begin about 1:15 pm with the
public being admitted at 2 pm to see the awards presented and sample the
dishes as long as they last.
